CITY OF LENOX

A regular meeting of the Lenox City Council was called to order by Mayor Douglas on August 26, 2024 at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall with the following council members answering roll call: Peterson, Tull, Hodges and Cruz; Nelson was absent. Staff present was City Clerk, Dawne Bowman and visitor, Colleen Larimer.

Hodges made a motion to approve the agenda, seconded by Peterson, all ayes, motion carried. Tull made a motion to approve 8/12/24 meeting minutes, seconded by Peterson, all ayes, motion carried. Tull made a motion to approve payment of the bills, seconded by Cruz, all ayes, motion carried.

Peterson made a motion to approve 2nd Reading Ordinance 396 Amending Chapter 63 Speed Regulations, seconded by Hodges, all ayes, motion carried.

Peterson made a motion to approve Waiving of 3rd Final Reading of Ordinance 396 Amending Chapter 63 Speed Regulations, seconded by Tull, all ayes, motion carried.

Tull made a motion to approve Special Event Permit Application for Lenox United Presbyterian Church, seconded by Peterson, all ayes, motion carried.

Peterson made a motion to approve Resolution 24- 31 Designating Depositories of Public Funds Belonging to the City of Lenox, Iowa, seconded by Hodges, all ayes, motion carried. This amount was increased to $10,000,000.00.

A discussion was held on the Quote for Solar/Battery Powered Speed Radar Signs. The quote was from Traffic Logix in the amount of $2,508 per sign. Hodges made a motion to table this until the next meeting, seconded by Peterson, all ayes, motion carried.

Peterson motioned to adjourn the meeting, Tull seconded, all ayes, motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 5:45 PM.
