CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES
October 23, 2023 - 5:30 p.m. - City Hall
A regular meeting of the Lenox City Council was called to order by Mayor Douglas on October 23, 2023 at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall with the following council members answering roll call: Bowman, Nelson, Tull and Zabel; Cruz was absent. Staff present was City Clerk, Dawne Bowman and City Administrator, Allison Kitzman, visitor was Deputy Lynn.
Bowman made a motion to approve the agenda, seconded by Tull, all ayes, motion carried. Tull made a motion to approve 10/9/23 minutes, seconded by Zabel, all ayes, motion carried. Bowman made a motion to approve the payment of bills, seconded by Nelson, all ayes, motion carried.
Bowman made a motion to open the Public Hearing on Proposal to Dispose of Interest in Real Property by Sealed Bids for Lot 68 in Brooks, Spear, and Laynes's Addition (710 West Michigan Street), seconded by Tull.
Deputy Lynn entered the meeting.
There were no comments heard from the public, Bowman made a motion to close the Public Hearing at 5:32 PM, seconded by Tull, all ayes, motion carried.
Mayor Douglas opened the 2 sealed bids for 710 West Michigan Street Property. Bill and Nickie Henderson Trust in the amount of $2,300 and Pat Stream in the amount of $5,000.
Tull made a motion to approve Resolution 23- 44 Sale of City Owned Property Located at 710 West Michigan Street in the City of Lenox to Pat Stream in the amount of $5,000, seconded by Bowman. Roll call votes - all ayes, motion carried.
Zabel made a motion to approve Resolution 23- 46 Tax Abatement Application for 207 West Michigan Street by Robert Ryan, seconded by Bowman, all ayes, motion carried.
Bowman made a motion to approve CDBG Draw Request #8 for LMU Water Project in the amount of $32,759, seconded by Nelson, all ayes, motion carried.
Zabel made a motion to approve Resolution 23- 45 Transfer from General Fund to Capital Project in the amount of $20,000 for Walking Trail, seconded by Tull, all ayes, motion carried. Kitzman mentioned this is the City's contribution of $10,000 for Phase 1 and $10,000 for Phase 2.
Deputy Lynn had nothing to report.
Nelson motioned to adjourn the meeting, Tull seconded, all ayes, motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 5:40 PM.
