CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES

September 25, 2023 - 5:30 p.m. - City Hall

A regular meeting of the Lenox City Council was called to order by Mayor Douglas on September 25, 2023 at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall with the following council members answering roll call: Bowman, Tull, Zabel and Cruz; Nelson was absent. Staff present was City Clerk, Dawne Bowman and City Administrator, Allison Kitzman. Visitors present were Colleen Larimer, Kay Smith, Shari Burger, Aiden Brokaw and Eli Ortega.

Tull made a motion to approve the agenda, seconded by Cruz, all ayes, motion carried. Zabel made a motion to approve 9/11/23 minutes, seconded by Zabel, all ayes, motion carried. Tull made a motion to approve the payment of bills, seconded by Zabel, all ayes, motion carried.

Kitzman discussed the property located at 710 West Michigan, as it is cleaned up and ready to be sold. Bowman made a motion to take the property out to sealed bids with a minimum bid of $2,000.00, seconded by Tull, all ayes, motion carried. It was decided to have bids due by the end of October.

Shari Burger presented the council with the annual library report.

Zabel made a motion to approve Resolution 23- 41 Authorizing Participation in the State Offset Program, seconded by Tull, all ayes, motion carried.

Kitzman discussed 1993 Chevy 3500, which is the fire truck that was just replaced so there is no box on the truck and no tail lights. The truck has 22,000 miles on it. Zabel made a motion to take this out for sealed bids, with a minimum bid of $3,000.00 for 2 weeks, seconded by Tull, all ayes, motion carried.

Zabel made a motion to approve FY23 Annual Urban Renewal Report, seconded by Cruz, all ayes, motion carried. Kitzman stated that this report shows all revenues and expenditures for our TIF districts and urban renewal areas.

Tull motioned to adjourn the meeting, Cruz seconded, all ayes, motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 5:46 PM.
