CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES

March 27, 2023 - 5:30 p.m. - City Hall

A regular meeting of the Lenox City Council was called to order by Mayor Douglas on March 27, 2023 at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall with the following council members answering roll call: Bowman, Cruz and Tull; Zabel and Nelson were absent. Staff present was City Clerk, Dawne Bowman and City Administrator, Allison Kitzman. Visitors were Deputy Lynn and Colleen Larimer.

Bowman made a motion to approve the agenda, seconded by Cruz, all ayes, motion carried. Tull made a motion to approve 3/13/23 meeting minutes, seconded by Cruz, all ayes, motion carried. Tull made a motion to approval the payment of bills, seconded by Bowman, all ayes, motion carried.

Kitzman discussed Insurance Renewal, explaining that our current policy has $2,500 deductible and there has been an increase of 14%. Kitzman provided 3 options of renewing: Option #1 - leaving the policy the way it is, with the premium being $191,406 (City portion is $100,578.37 and LMU portion is $90,827.63), Option #2- increase the deductible to $5,000, a savings of $5,712 and Option #3- increase the marine deductible $5,000. Kitzman mentioned there had been a few instances in which damages did not meet our current $2,500 deductible, such as tennis court fencing and sports complex bleacher. Bowman made a motion to approve Option #1 to renew the current policy, seconded by Tull, all ayes, motion carried.

Kitzman discussed CD renewals for Gas Dept and Fire Dept from PSCB. Tull made a motion to approve Resolution 12- 16 PCSB Investment Funds Renewal for 9- months at 4.30% interest, seconded by Cruz, all ayes, motion carried.

Tull made a motion to approve Dally Post 5 Day Class C Liquor license for Community Center, seconded by Cruz, all ayes, motion carried.

Bowman motioned to approve City Wide Clean Up dates for April 24th - 30th and paint disposal on April 29th, seconded by Cruz, all ayes, motion carried.

Bowman approved Clubhouse Lease and Golf Course Management agreement with DMT Golf, seconded by Tull, all ayes, motion carried.

Kitzman mentioned that no bids were received on the 2003 Ford F250 with the minimum bid at $8,000. It was decided to advertise again for a week with the minimum bid of $4,000.

Tull motioned to adjourn the meeting, Cruz seconded, all ayes, motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 6:05 PM.
