CITY OF LENOX

A regular meeting of the Lenox City Council was called to order by Mayor ProTem Bowman on February 27, 2023 at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall with the following council members answering roll call: Bowman, Cruz, Nelson and Tull; Zabel was absent. Staff present was City Clerk, Dawne Bowman.

Nelson made a motion to approve the agenda, seconded by Tull, all ayes, motion carried. Tull made a motion to approve 2/13/23 meeting minutes, seconded by Nelson, all ayes, motion carried. Nelson made a motion to approve the payment of bills, seconded by Tull, all ayes, motion carried.

Nelson made a motion to approve Resolution 23- 11 Employee Wage for Leevi Marshall, seconded by Tull, all ayes, motion carried.

Nelson approved advertising for sealed bids for 2003 Ford F250 Diesel truck with minimum bid of $8,000, 1992 Ford F250 truck with no minimum bid and a trailer with no minimum bid, seconded by Cruz, all ayes, motion carried.

Tull made a motion to approve Resolution 23- 12 Setting Public Hearing for 4/10/23 at 5:30 PM for Budget FY24, seconded by Nelson, all ayes, motion carried. This will replace the Public Hearing set in the previous meeting, due to Senate File 181, the decrease in taxable valuations that was just passed.

Nelson made a motion to approve Ramsey's Market Class E Retail Alcohol License renewal, seconded by Cruz, all ayes, motion carried.

Mayor ProTem discussed the All Systems Permit for J13 and N64 through city limits. This permit allows trucks to haul 12% more weight than they are currently allowed. After some discussion, Nelson made a motion to approve All Systems Permit, seconded by Cruz, all ayes, motion carried.

Tull motioned to adjourn the meeting, Cruz seconded, all ayes, motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 5:45 PM.
